It has been some time since my last blog…but what is time during a worldwide pandemic, when it seems everything is standing still. Nevertheless, the South African president announced last night on 28 February 2021 that the country is now on lockdown level 1. What does it mean for chess? It means we can go back to OTB Over The Board chess.

So today we are looking at Vladimir Borisovich Kramnick, a player who indicated he could predict what Kasparov would play and subsequently took the world title from him. Was it that easy? Read the following:
