How to Coach?

This a a question that creeps up a lot so for the month of May I will address this question.

As I always tell coaches…”the above question is not as innocent as it seems” There is a lot of aspects to consider when coaching and some of the points are as follows:

Age of student

Disability

Curriculum

learning style

Coaching style

assistive devices, ie books, chess apps, chess engines etc

And the list will go on
