In the vein of honouring women during the month of August, I have decided to continue writing about women in chess and specifically their achievements.
South Africa also has a fair share of women playing chess and who has been making waves over the years despite the fact that they are the minority chess playing community in South Africa.
women-playing-chessI would at a later stage feature one or two of our South African women chess players, but I would like to reiterate, that the South African women chess player is a force to be reckoned with. They are most definitely a small chess playing community we can all be proud of.
